I leave for 1 day and you guys put on 10 pages of chatter on a new project. And all without me.

Ok, I am just now getting over the loss of L. perrinni AGAIN! At least someone brought it up. Always second place, never first.
Anyhow, I second
Bulbophyllum acuminatum and I would love to join. I have looked over many of the suggestions and also like the little Catts types but the Bulbo is my fav.
In addition, I have one statement. I already have Bulbo tingabarinum and if it is voted as the project plant there is no sense in me joining in on the project. But I don't want that to cause the plant to be ousted from the list. Life goes on without me you know.

Ok...well I don't want to hold up the poll just because I am waiting to hear if othres think these two are not colorful enough, so I am going to nominate the Bulbo psychoon!

oh...and if we order from Andy's Orchids....if we have our orders in on Tuesday they will ship out Wednesday...otherwise we would have to wait for the following week for our 'chids to ship out.....I already have an order waiting to go...now I am holding it until I find out what wins!

Hopefully, the chosen plant will work for you...it would be very nice to have you with us

I'm going to remove L tenebrosa from the runners-up list because it gets too large for a project plant. I am also going to have to skip on the C. dowiana (sorry, Jasen...the plant can grow to 12 inches and that's too big for a project plant)...

as of now, we have 11 people signed up (I'm amazed, by the way ) and 20 plants. The math doesn't work!

Out of the 12 remaining plants from previous projects, we can remove L perrinii and C intermedia as they both might get too large to be considered a project plant.

I feel that we need to limit the poll to 15 plants so if we remove those two, we can add 5 new ones. If you guys want to keep those two, then we can choose just 3 more.

Lots of great suggestions have been made...thanks everybody...but we must fine-tune them.

So far the list is as follows:

Lepanthes elegantula
IOSPE PHOTOS

Gastrochilus calceolaris
IOSPE PHOTOS

LEPTOTES unicolor

KEFERSTEINIA tolimensis

MAXILLARIA sophronitis

UPDATE: We now have our final poll list!

Okay...we're ready!!!

I am posting the poll now...and sending an email to all participants on the list. Please vote as quickly as possible...we have an opportunity to get these shipped before the end of this week!

Thanks everybody! I can't believe we accomplished this so fast!

Dorothy: The Encyclia wasn't easily available so I entered the Laelia you suggested.

Becca: I entered your choice of the Bulbophyllum.
