I would grow it mounted as well. If you don't want a mounted plant than 3-4" basket works well too. This not to say that pots don't work, you just have to be careful about root rot. This guys like too have a good watering then dry out(like most Catts.).

I've never grown anything mounted, but I'm looking forward to trying. And if it's not working you can always take if off the mount and pot it.
In some cases no need to take a plant off its mount to pot it, especially with such a mini as cernua. If something's not doing well mounted I usually just trim down the mount and wire it into a terracotta pot or basket, with whatever (or no) medium around it as seems appropriate. Wiring the bottom of a stick mount into an empty terracotta pot suits many plants very well and combines some advantages of both mounted and potted culture.

Default Soph Cernua

Good News ! I contacted the vendor where I purchased my Cernua ( just recently ) and he replied. He is based in the USA.

Hi- Yes, I do have more, and would have 20 that have bloomed. They are all in 2 inch aircone pots. I can sell them for $20 each. chaz.smit at gmail.com

That's a brilliant idea! I would never have thought to just stick the mount straight into the pot. I'll definitely keep that in mind.

Orchidsarefun, where did you get it at? I want at least one TC (all I can truly afford) so yeah. Lol

I see the email but I'd like to see the plants that they offer.

its an e-bay seller but I have obviously given out his private e-mail address. I am sure he will send photos if you ask for more details.
This is his store and record etc. I am very happy with mine BTW. ( his shipping was the cheapest I have ever paid, can't say what he would charge now )
