Unfortunately I can't even provide for 16C during winter being a windowsill grower that lives in Sweden and all. Trust me, I reeeeaaally like this one so I want it to stay on the list.

Ok, let me explain it better... 16C is the security of the thermostat in my GH... I keep mainly warm growers (Catasetinae!) normal temps in Winter nights are around 20C with occasional drops below that if we have very strong winters... During the days, temps go way above that...
As for windowsill, if you have your plants near the glass, even in a heated room, they will be exposed to very cool temps (even if you use the best insulated triple glass windows!) Trust me, I was a windowsill grower and managed to grow and bloom cool growers in a heated room... The most important is that at night they get cooler temps...
By the way, in ST they gave you the reference of Birks' book. I have it here with me, and it actually says: "TEMPERATURE: Intermediate" then in the comments part: this species does best with hot and humid summers and dry and cooler winters...
Pay attention to BEST and coolER.

What about Paph delenatii?
I wouldn't mind having another one. Hausermann has them on sale.
It's pretty popular. How about in EU and CAN?
It's on the warm side of intermediate but my GH gets down to 54 in the winter and it does just fine. IOSPE PHOTOS

I love delenatii!! It's easy to find here. The nice thing is that there's the standard type, the alba, and the vinicolor, so everyone is bound to find a delenatii of some sorts! I have large seedling of a var vinicolor, but it's so far from blooming that I want a blooming size plant too!

Camille, what does OrchidWiz say about Paphiopedilum purpuratum? Does it need cooler temps or not?
I'm sorry for nagging and asking stupid questions all the time, and I think you're great to arrange this project and all of you other guys for trying to find suitable chids...

Orchidwiz gives info about the conditions in the plant's native range, so it doesn't mean that a plant can't grow at other temperatures. For Paph purpuratum:
summer days average: 27-28°C
summer nights: 23°C
winter days:15-18°C
winter nights:11-13°C
Orchidwiz is a good starting point, but info from people who grow it is the best way to go

Thanks again Camille, you're great. Well, so far on Slippertalk three out of four says it needs cooler temps, so I really don't know what to make of it, too confused at the moment.
I'll go to bed instead, that's a much better idea.

I would love to have this one too. Paph armeniacum
It is intermediate. I think it runs a little more but I'm all for trying something different.
I think that $25 is a bit outdated for pricing of a good BS orchid. I'm on a budget too but most species BS lately start above $25 and go up. We might need to adjust our price to $30 for inflation.
Just my 2cents.

Oooh, I have been wanting Paph delenatii. It is easy to find, too. And some of the same places that have it, have TC's that I really want. Yay!
