$2.50 isnt bad because its usually at $24.99 that the shipping rate goes up $3-5.

Bulbophyllum lasiochilum sounds good to me. Not the prettiest plant though. Need to find it in Canada and EU shady.

Default How about a Paph?

There are some very nice small Paphs.

They tend to run a little more $ but I'm okay with that.

Paph appletonianum
Paph armeniacum
Paph charlesworthii
Paph delenatii - can't believe this one hasn't been done -great paph! Tends on the warm side of intermediate.

Paph druryi
Paph insigne tends on the cool side of intermediate but it grows and blooms fine here in Memphis.

Paph micranthum
Paph primulinum
Paph tonsum
Paph vietnamense - this one might be $$

I'll try to see if I can research availability.

Can someone try to track down Phal parishii in the US? I tried all the growers that I listed on the first post... Funny, I thought that this would be an easily available orchid!

Anyone know Olympic Orchids? They have parishii for $8! olympic orchids The only hitch is that they are seedlnigs, though the website indicates that they should bloom within a year.

Camille- How many US board members are participating in the project? I'm asking because I looked for Phalaenopsis parishii on the US sites and haven't been able to find any besides the place you found it at. And it would be nice to find some that are blooming size. We could try calling some nurseries like Andy's and see if he has any and how many. I know Andy does not list all his plants on his site. It's wired that this plant is hard to find on sites right now. I used to see them all the time. I've also have seen Oak Hill selling them before. Maybe they might have them if we give them a call too. Just an idea.

I counted the list this morning, if I remember right there are 23 US participants so far.

Parishii is so nice that it would be nice to be able to find it.

I would like to find Phalaenopsis parishii too! I have it on my wish list. I can try and email Andy's and Oak Hill. I will let you know if I find out anything.

Wyn, if you are going to mail them, it might be better to mail once with a list of ones we can't find? Rather than various members emailing different times?

That would be great!! But can you wait? Like Rowangreen says there may be other plants to check. This week I'll check out the other plants on the list for growers, and then I can give you a list of plants to ask about.

I didn't even think about that. That would of been a better way of doing it but I already sent emails to ask them. Sorry!
