I've learned a lot, and am going to try out some types that I had never thought of before.... I'm also preparing the second mortgage on the house to be able to order all of the ones I want as travelling companions!!

Well, if the Epidendrum is out, I might be leaning towards the Masdevallia. Will that one take temps. up to 90 degrees? I'm with you, Susanne, I think I have to have the Epi. anyway.

Hi everyone. I was just reviewing the approved list since I can't make the chat tonight. I was looking into the Aerangis rhodosticta some and saw some of the pictures of this plant. While the flower size is small, the plant size looks huge in the pictures. The website states it is small sized, but that it they will grow and develop into specimens with several growths as they mature. I thought I would ask everyone to check out the multiple pictures on the following link. I know that we took quite a few orchids off of our list because they stated that they were medium in size but really grew to be much larger, or so seems to be the case from the pictures I saw. Thanks for your time!

Is Laelia crispa okay? Says its cold to hot growing with up to 12" spikes. If that one's okay, I'll check availability! IOSPE PHOTOS

Becca,
the plant itself is small enough. To prevent it becoming a specimen sized orchid...divide and share with friends
Thunder again! Arghhhh!

The cheapest place I can find the L. crispa is Burleigh Park Orchids, for $30..... I'll pay it! It should be easy to get in Brazil, since that is where it's from.

I haven't had any luck yet with finding it in Canada, and I haven't tried Europe yet
