Why do we have to forget about Dendros?
Your name is next to one in the approved list!
Is there something I missed when the requirements where made. I know I'm not that bright so type slow.
Thanks

Wow! I'll try to explain the "forget about Dendros"
What I want to say:
It's very difficult to find Dendros species in Brazil, they are not popular here; I can find only the more 'common' species like nobile, thyrsiflorum, kingianum, loddigesii and chrysotoxum (the one where my name is). It's almost impossible to find the more rare: senile, draconis etc. Sometimes we can find some odd Dendros like brymerianum and ellipsophyllum, but they are EXPEN$$IVE!! And the same rational is applied to Phalaenopsis species (not popular, hard to find, expensive)
I'm trying only to answer Sue's question about availability: "Are Dendros available?" "Forget about!"
BTW, if a Dendro or Phal will be choosed, I'll try to find it!

The majority of folks in the project agree that we should look only for orchids that can be readily found in all 4 locations (U.S., Canada, Europe & Brazil)...
we have a number of wondeful orchids on the list right now...there are just a few more to go over in tonight's chat.
If we can agree in the chat (and here in the forum) that we're at a stand-still, I have no problem with moving up the date for the final poll...and will set it up to start tomorrow, rather than in another week.
Opinions, anybody?

Phalaenopsis hieroglyphica is now on the secondary list...meaning that if it's available from the vendor we choose for the project winner, some folks might do a "side" project
The only plants that will go into the poll are those listed as being available in Canada, Europe and Brazil, with the U.S. being a given.
Take another look at the list:

In tonight's chat, we'll be discussing:

Available in Europe
Available in Brazil - Delayed
Epidendrum pseudepidendrum - (gixrj18, cb977, shakkai)

Available in Canada
Cattleya forbesii - (gixrj18)
Cattleya Orchid Source - Cattleya forbesii Species Orchid

I think it's fine by me that we begin the poll sooner -
