I have to study but I read about 'chids!!
Thanks for adding me in the project and for updating various lists..
It's fun to be in contact with people over ocean! I HOPE to go and study in USA next year.. mmm .. please excuse my POOR english!!
Anyway, these orchids are available here in Italy:
Aer. Citrata
Dend. Chrysotoxum
Epid. Stamtordianum
Bletilla striata
Brass. Nodosa
Cymb. Ensifolium
Leptotes bicolor
Gastorochillus calceolaris
Phal. Hieroglyphica
Cochleanthes Discolor
Catt. Intermedia
Conchleanthes Amazonica
I prefer the most (if I can say so) Bletilla Striata. Aer. Citrata and Cochleanthes discolor may be a good second choice!
Bye to all!

You are right Tin. They were running wild when I was resting. I'm shocked too.
Just kidding. I can't join this project. I feel that I have too much work with my current orchids. Still plenty of mounting to do.
Just choose some amaising plant and have fun
(Finally I manage to send this messages. Excuse me I have to through this PC out of window It was new once in last millennium )

Sue, I saw your note about Trudelia cristata (syn. Vanda cristata). I found a couple of images that may give you an idea of size...
Here is a typical one for sale:
Trudelia cristata
Trudelia cristata with multiple photos plus close ups.
And this is a specimen size plant:
Vanda cristata 'Lydia Merkle' Am/Aos, Ccm/Aos
That said, more people need to vote for Masdevallia tovarensis!!

I just thought that the Masdevallia tovarensis would be a good choice because of the size and the flowering around Christmas. Any masdevallia would be a good choice for me, like Masdevallia floribunda 'yellow'
Masdevallia floribunda 'yellow' at Santa Barbara Orchid Estate

Ahhh, Tin! You wouldn't be interested in getting another one???
There are a few on the list that at least one person already has...
Edit: I am right there with you Wally!! Any Masdie would be good for me, they are such compact plants - but still packing plenty of 'punch' when it comes to flowers!

We are not going to be able to avoid one or two of our members having a 'chid from the list.
If anybody likes a particular plant, make your choice known here so your name can be added next to it in the Tentative Plant thread.
The ten plants that have the most names next to them will be put into the final poll...and the plant that gets the most votes in that poll will be the plant for the project
So...
vote for what you like without worrying about whether another member already has it
