But...it is going to be nearly impossible to find a 'chid that none of our participating members (46, so far!) have. The top ten 'chids on the list with the most members names attached will be put into our final poll.
There's nothing wrong with having more than one of a particular 'chid, if that is what happens

I have 3 or 4 of the ones listed already...but if they are the winner...I'll get another

During the last project, Paramount seemed to be the favorite among our Canadian members so they should be our target.

I will add the Bolleanthes to our tentative list...thanks

I should think not Dorothy, they're are a few others, we certainly don't have the resources you guys in the Usa have.
Paramount do have the biggest listing or various types of 'chids.
I know that paramounts and clouds orchids do not have the last orchid Bolleanthes available for canada.

They're are 2 other vendors that I know of ... I do some checking and get back to you shortly.

Ps -- Sorry I haven't jump onto this thread much to help
I've been in deep renovations with the house and time is really an issue with me right now.

Lemmie get back to you .....

Ooh 1 more thing, What do we have on our interest list so far??

To echo Gloria, Paramount and Clouds are the two largest Canadian orchid vendors with the greatest diversity. There are several others but while they have great plants, they have a limited offering. Orchids in our Tropics I don't and won't deal with as I had a bad experience with them that left a sour taste in my mouth...and pocketbook!

So far my interest is on the Leptotes bicolor. It's small growing and temp tolerant. Also available in Canada

Hi Gloria

The Bolleanthes is listed at Paramount:
Miscellaneous Plant Listing: A-L

Our Tentative Plant List is here:
http://www.orchidboard.com/community...lant-list.html

Who are the other quality vendors up there? It would be great to have more resources to choose from in Canada for comparison with those in the U.S.

Thanks for your input
Talk to you soon

For the UK, the ones that I have experience with are:
Burnham Nurseries

Easy Orchids

Species Specific

Ratcliffe Orchids

If anyone has other suppliers from the EU, I'd love to know! But so far, I've only dealt with the above.
