Default Spring 2011 Project - Final Poll

Only those taking part in the project should vote.

OK, sorry guys for the delay, had to check some final things then a horrid flu bug got me feeling a lot better now though

Anyway, these are the plants that seem to have sufficient numbers and the correct price. I didn't have replies from all the vendors, Andy's, Hauserman's, Parkside and Oak Hill were all very helpful.

I'm afraid the other plants were not available in sufficient numbers from the nursaries that responded, or if they were were not in our price range.

Please vote for ONE plant each. The one with the highest votes will be the project plant.

The vote will close either when everyone has voted or on the 27th (to try and give time for people away over Easter).

I like the choices...not as many to choose from so it is easier to make your mind up!

Have the Gastrochillus, have no luck with the Doritis though the flowers are very pretty. Had it for a while but phals and relatives hate me and the Aerangis are another group that haven't had much luck with. Now the bulbos I can grow. What happened to the Trichophillia??? It had the most votes on the polls. I was looking forward to having something different.

They must not of had enough Trichophillia's. that was my first choice too. So like you I chose the Bulbo.

Yeah, I'm afraid that while both Hausermans and Oak Hill and a handful of them each there just weren't enough even for half the participants

oh dear! This was my favourite too! well it'll just be a TC for me just like the Gastrochilus japonicus was one of the TC's for the summer project last year & which has finally decided to spike
and Thanks Rolando for the Gastrochillus dasypogon idea! : it will be a TC too

Not much to pick from this time! I voted for the Doritis, but only because I don't like the bulbo and I already have the other 2. If the Gastrochilus or Aerangis wins, I'll sit out on this project, I got my gastrochilus as a TC for the last project. Mine's doing great mounted and is so happy in my care that right now it has 2 beautiful spikes full of blooms!
The aerangis is a very nice one (got one about 5-6 weeks ago), the fragrance is absolutely amazing. Smells like asian lilies.
