I love it, Ross. It has been on my 'wanted' list for quite some time. I haven't had the courage yet. Mounted plants don't do well for me, and I'm not sure about potting it.

Beautiful Becca! Mine is probably a couple of weeks from opening up. It is about the same length and number of flowers as last year.
Marilyn, while Ross and Becca are experiencing great success growing in a tank, I am growing mine just in the house under lights. It came potted and I moved it this spring to a 4" vanda basket. I used medium CHC, perlite and charc. I think if I had watered it a little more often this summer it might have had a higher flower count but I got too busy. I figured it would skip a blooming this season since I repotted, but it doesn't seem to have minded at all. Give it a whirl. I think it's much more forgiving than people think. Just don't let it dry out too much.

I am so sorry. . .Curses!
I can see how EASY that would be to do. I've already had several close calls!

Great job Gwen! Nice mount. The leaves on mine aren't quite so robust, just more of them. Think I'll concentrate on fertilizing and growing a bigger plant. What do you think?

I've seen your leaves and they're so lush. AND my gawd, you've just got so many of them. I love to see good roots and healthy leaves!
The leaves on this one are not all that robust. . .maybe just look that way in the photo. They're not bad but not as robust as they could be. I am working on that. I've been seeing this plant gaining strength. . .bit by bit. . .but it's very slow going.
I just love this one and am so happy this one was chosen for a project plant. . .it's such a great plant and a challenge too.

Don't be afraid to fertilize. I give mine regular doses of 125ppm MSU mix (the only thing I use.)
