I am growing mine in the pot in came in and it has grown new roots and is growing a new leaf. I grow outside in SW Florida. It gets dappled sunlight all day.

During the summer. rain is how it was watered. Now that our rains have slowed down, I water every other day or so with RO water. I fertilize every few weeks.

I wouldn't necessarily move it out of the pot yet.

Mine is doing nothing. I bought it potted and had a lot of trouble with mine. Thats my luck! At first I waited to water until the moss was crunchy and the roots started drying up. Then I decided to mist lightly each morning and before long a white fuzzy fungus/mold started growing all over the outside of the pot. So I pulled it out and mounted it on the only thing I had which was a swampstick. (thank you Becca!) So I'm not really sure if it's happy or not but the leaves still look good I guess. I mounted it with a little moss and it never really seems to dry out much. I'm hoping that will be okay but only time will tell. Leave it to me to have problems. I hope I'm not meant to grow only phals! Maybe I'm not getting the hint or something...

p.s. to add to my dwindling confidence issues I just discoved that I killed another cactus. That wasi innocent cactus victim #4. Who kills cactii???? How
can I grow orchids when I can't keep a cactus alive?
So sorry about this, had to vent!!!

Sarah,
Can you refresh my memory of your growing conditions again? Are you growing it indoors in a terrarium or just indoors? How often are you fertilizing it? And air circulation? Temps, lighting, humidity? I have some plants still adjusting to the Swampstick....I haven't tried any more plants on them until I get things figured out. Maybe it will be a good experiment for you to try it with the Swampstick since I don't think anyone else is.

My plant is growing a new leaf faster now than in the summer. It's growing in an warm orchidarium.

No spikes at the moment.

Hey thanks for all of the advice. I'll make it my sole goal to get pictures up this weekend. It's still going well for now.

Mine has new roots that are now attaching themselves to the mount - mine came potted and the first thing I did was put it onto a cork mount. The new leaf if still growing, but no signs of any spike yet.

I'll try to get some updated photos soon.
