That strong? IF my plant ever blooms then I guess I won't be able to leave it at the office, the usual complainers are going to, well, complain!

yes and no, actually you feel it everywhere in the greenhouse, but it is not really overwhelming, and also not during the whole day... I am sure your colleagues will like it, unless they are coconut haters... in that case, just tell them they should think of Holidays in the south, being at the beach and using Coopertone...

Don't know anyone who doesn't like the smell of coconut.
A friend of mine went to R F Orchids in S. Florida and took this photo of a Maxillaria tenufolia. I may just mount mine on a tree as well.

I'm going to repot mine tonight. It's not even summer yet, but I'm having to water it nearly every day! So today I decided to pop it out of the pot and see what was going on. No wonder I have to water so often, the pot is jam packed with roots, with dozens of nice green growing tips! Back when I checked the roots in the fall (thought it was rootless), there really weren't that many roots in there. It's nuts how fast it filled the pot.
Instead of straight bark, I'm going to do 50/50 bark and sphag. And alas, no signs of blooms still. It's in a south window, but it hasn't been exceptionally sunny this spring. Mostly rain.
