This project started 2 years ago so yes, it's a bit late to join.
Your new plants look nice and healthy, congrats.

UPDATE 8-4-2012 : Seeing this thread has just come back up I thought I would update on my plants growth. It is still growing new growths and I can see new roots too. Having just re read most of this whole thread I have just decided to move it to the brightest spot available at the moment:
from SW where it's been since last summer and maybe before? To NW (where I have more light at the moment) as my asci.miniatum is just growing 2 spikes @ the same time, for the first time in 4/5 years I have had It & I believe it is due to it getting more light than usual] and as the Max likes lots of light & is supposed to be a spring /summer flowerer I'm keeping my fingers crossed this will get it to flower this time or else I know what to try next season. Which is move it, as I should have done in Oct/Nov2011 (to give more light) and which I did not do.
Here are a couple pics from today:

I love the way your plant is growing up on itself. Mine just keeps growing wide, filling the pot. Am I doing something weird?

Wow, yours looks great Nenella,
Joann, mine grows upwards on it's self as well like Nenella's (though no where near as big). I thought that was the natural way these grow. Maybe it's something with the S/H yours is in that it likes to stay low near the water. No idea I'm afraid

Very nice, Nenella!
Of my two plants, the red colored one grows vertical as well... Actually, most of the plants I know haver this habitus...
The yellow flowered one, grows slower and not so vertical....

Thanks guys! just hope it flowers this year !
Joann, Rosie, Camille, Bob and all involved in this project as well. Please post some pics of how your plants are at the moment ... I often say pics speak loads more than words and believe it!
The best I think is to post a pic of when acquired and now so everyone gets to see the difference and we can hopefully all learn more and get these blooming this year!
Ramon you posted pics of your 2 although I believe it was some time ago? be great to see the difference in growth.
Thanks in advance to all who post pics.

Sure, I can post before and after pics of it. It's really gotten large compared to what it used to be, but it's since small compared to other people's plants. I'll have to dig around on my external harddrive for the original pics, hopefully I had put them there. I had uploaded them onto the desktop PC originally, which crashed and died in December.

I can't find my original picture, I'm not sure what I did with it. According to my notes, there were 6 pbulbs on August 18, 2010-date received. On May 17, 2011 there were 12 pbulbs. So I guess it is growing, just not like everyone elses.

That does seem to me to be growing like everyone else's, i.e., it doubled in size in year! Just depends on how big of a plant you start with.
