Well, this is indeed true. Sounds like conditions are good for it. I'm not sure what you mean about the "blast zone" of the humidifier, but is it maybe getting too much air movement?? I have no idea if that's a problem with this species, just throwing ideas out there.

Nah, was just being sarcastic. By "blast zone," I meant it's getting a lot of humidity. I think I just got a slowpoke. I suppose it will bloom when it's good and ready.

Yeah, that's the only problem with in vitro propagation....even the plants with weak genes survive, that normally wouldn't have a chance in nature. No natural selection, you may have gotten a slow one.

Hate to tell it, wanted to cut an old spike and accidentally cutted a spike in bloom. Grrrr....... The bloom was the first on the spike and only open for a few days. Dang!

Well, here's my little guy on the second try for a spike to bloom. Had one spike self that blasted in the end of June, but this one looks like it might just make it.

Well I finally got a chance to post a couple pics of my little cutie! Only one flower on this spike so far, but 2 other spikes are forming.

Awww, they're all so danged cute! Nice work everybody!
Shortly after opening the flower on the second spike it dropped the first flower on the first spike. The first spike is already developing a new bud so it should bloom again.

Terri - mine too is starting another bud on the first spike which currently has an open bloom and a bud about to open. It has also started a new spike! Such an awesome little plant!
