Its a shame I cant get it in the UK, I found its cousin the Haraella odorata (spelling?) but not the retrocalla they look to have a very similar flower on them. I hope I hear from the place I ordered from soon and that you do also Camille, we gotta get our hands on these little cuties I think If I get the order from where I am planning to ( if they have stock) It will come mounted.

I already have one too but don't mind a second one. They are really cute in bloom. The flower looks like a little bumble bee.

I believe the name has changed from odorata to retrocalla.

You're right, Nick...retrocalla and odorata are the same plant.

Haraella odorata and Haraella retrocalla are the same plant, just a name change! Where in the UK did you see it?

I think starting a new thread for plant arrivals...and the progress reports along the way would be a great idea!
Would you like to do the honors since it seems you are the first to post about getting the plant? I'll make it a sticky once it's up and running

Sue...rethinking things a bit...perhaps since Dave already started his Project 09 Contest thread, and people will obviously be posting photo updates there, that should just be the main project update thread? If not, I'm perfectly happy to start another thread. Just seems that it might be a bit redundant now that I think about it.

That makes sense
I'll contact Dave...I'm going to change the title of that existing thread to include the project's progress.

OMG! What a day!!!
Well, my mailman got a chuckle out of the delivery he left me today...three huge boxes and he rang the doorbell to tel me to "have fun" as he walked away shaking his head in disbelief!
I got the Oak Hill delivery (mine and Laura's orchids ), a package from Ethan with a non-orchid...AND a surprise EpiCatt!...and the box from Dave (flhiker) with the 20 plants from the great deal he put together with Carmela's Orchids!
In the picture, the six to the left of the tall plant in the middle are Laura's...the rest
Hubby's scared

Okay Yvan, I've "unstuck" most of the project threads as we don't need them readily available anymore...and changed the name of Dave's thread...
would you like to be the first to post your project plant?
I'll contact Marty about an additional project gallery
Notice to all players:
To avoid posts getting buried, I suggest all further interaction regarding the project take place in this thread:
http://www.orchidboard.com/community...s-reports.html
I am now closing the existing thread (this one )
