I like the idea of doing 2 projects, also! It will easier to make everyone happy that way. The den... or the bulbo... or both?? I want both!!!

I just got an email back from Brennan's:

"I would be surprised if I have four of these. I'm sorry I can't help you. At one time, Piping Rock Orchids had some. You can check with him."

Response from J&L: none in stock

What this means for us...

Den tetragonum

31 available at H&R
10 available at Andy's
41

IF everybody who has played along up till now is still following through to the end then we need 44

There were a few folks who said YES to continued participation in the last PM I sent out...with a little bit of a question mark for the final decision.

I need an absolute answer, YES or NO, to the PM I am sending out in a minute. If the number goes down to 41 or less, we can go with the Den tetragonum as the true winner.

IF we need to go with the idea of splitting the orders into some Den tetragonum and some Bulb dearei, then we need to start tracking down enough of the Bulb right away.

Watch for a PM from me

Exclamation CRITICAL UPDATE:

Okay folks...after spending SO much time trying to find enough quantity of either the Den tetragonum OR the Bulb dearei, I've come to the conclusion (and pardon my incorrect English here but...) it ain't happening!!!

Yes, H&R has 31 of the Den but no Bulbs...and Andy's has 10 of each...but he's not doing any shipping until April 29th because they have a few shows coming up to prepare for.

This is just WAY too much work...and although you're all gonna think I've lost my mind, this is what I think:

I say the Den won but is not (easily) available...so we move on to the Bulb which took 2nd place, again not (easily) available...what's the next step? Moving on to the next plant which we know for a fact is readily available...the Haraella retrocalla.

It fits our criteria in all ways, is inexpensive ($15 less 25% discount on project plant) and is readily available at Oak Hill.

Can we please just move on with this?
We can place our orders and have the plants by the end of next week!

I love the haraella, I have one! What I would love more is to go through Andy's because I have such a long wish list on his website. If we go through Oak Hill it will save me the pain of trying to figure out where I would put all those dang TC's I would have bought from Andy's...lol. Ready....set.....waiting for Go from Sue....lol.
