These are really undemanding orchids, and they stay little so they don't take up a lot of room. They grow over a huge range of conditions. I grow mine outside, mounted (so they tolerate temperatures near freezing as well as severe drying, and hot summers), Camille grows hers inside with warm-growers, in a pot. (I now have a division growing in the greenhouse to see if it grows any better warm and moist, since I know already that it grows well cool to warm, and dry)

I find a week to 10 days... bigger plants with more flowers will be in bloom a bit longer because all don't open at once.

I just watched a video on bicolor that said 4-8 weeks. Is there that much difference between species?

That sounds pretty optimistic to me. A larger plant will have buds that flower not all at once, that will extend the bloom time. And maybe under ideal conditions the flowers last longer... mine live outside, so suffer "insults" that a pampered plant doesn't get.

That sounds like a real stretch of optimism to me! Saw parts of a video a ways back when this project started and heard someone say that... can't remember name, but I do remember it appeared she really liked a bit of bondage with her orchids.
