Advice for growing Max. equitans?

If they are coming from 200 meters - 1,500 meters in ares such as Colombia; Bolivia; Ecuador; Brazil; Venezuela; and Peru, then this species is most likely an intermediate to warm growing Maxillaria, (60 F - 95 F).

Moderately bright to bright indirect light.

Grow mounted.

These kinds of Maxillaria are not really that popular. People don't really know what it is because it doesn't look like the Maxillaria spp with pseudobulbs. Plus it doesn't have fancy looking flowers with unusual color patterns or bright colors.

Thanks KoOG. Wondering how much to water and hoping it can handle low humidity once fall/winter hits months from now.

Funny you should say that .... I got this one because I like the foliage ... didn't really care much about the flowers.

Moderate humidity of about 50% - 60% would be ok, I don't know about anything lower than that.

Water frequently. You'll see that they dry out pretty quickly. Maybe to mitigate that problem mount on tree fern.
