Default 3 Japanese hybrid Lycastes

I'm more after Catasetinae, but I grown other orchids as well. So, here are my Lycastes, as a kind of introduction to the Maxillaria Alliance.
I grow them on my windowsill, in mix of sphagnum and small bark

Lycaste Abou Sunset (Lyc. Chita Sunset "Pink" x Alan Salzman) from Abou

Lycaste Chita Impulse also from Abou

Lycaste Muromachi (GS 426 Мem. Kageyuki Mito "Select" x Auburn 'Dichling' AM/RHS.SM/JOGA) from Goshima

Beautiful...really beautiful.

If I had more space...I would have more lycaste.

They are gorgeous! If you can find some of the red ones, grab them. You will love them.

Thank you Brooke, I also love red lycastes. Perhaps, if I see a red lycaste at one of the shows, I will not be able to resist
Equagenera also offers some very interesting clones. Perhaps I should try my chances at another part of the globe

Very fine flowers. The Japanese have wonderful hybrids. Not cheap, but a feast for the eyes.
The Andean species are another chapter, but also intriguing.
