Zygopetalum unknown cross
I've been looking for a Zygo with mottled s/petals and lip. When I saw this one I was so enchanted by the bloom and scent, I forgot to check for the tag. When I contacted vendor, they didn't know what cross it was, even though they knew the plant and remembered selling it to me. I still love it and would love it more if it had an ID. Enjoy!

Very nice! Shame about not knowing the cross but oh well!! It will bring you beautiful fragrant blooms either way!

It's beautiful even without a name.

I am almost certain it's a Redvale 'Fire Kiss'. I can post a picture of mine.

Here you go. My picture isn't as good, but, I'm pretty sure it's the same plant, and guess we are getting them from the same growing sources. When I picked mine out, most did not have tags.

Thanks Jeremy. The do look very much alike. Did you get yours from Susan Hamilton?

No, mine came from the flower market, but my understanding is that a lot of these in the bay area are coming from a nursery on the peninsula.
I got this one because Fire Kiss has been around for quite a while, and I wanted an orchid that smelled in the house!

I'd actually say the coloring is the same on both plants - just a difference in how the picture was taken. Mine was just done real quick on the front porch, in regular light and no contrasting background.

Agree they do look like twins. Thanks for posting the picture and name. I've seen similar ones at Trader Joes too. You were smart to get one with a name tag. . At least mine came with the gorgeous scent
