Tenuifolia bloomed for me!
I'm so happy! I was worried after hearing they can be difficult to bloom.
I got this guy in... the beginning of January.
And I had missed the last bloom by a day.
It was marked way off being out of bloom so I decided to just go for it.
Easily one of my simplest orchids to care for, but heard out was tricky to bloom.
Lucky for me something must've gone right, because when I looked at the plant while watering yesterday I saw a flower! And five more buds!
My first time ever re blooming an orchid besides a phal! And first time ever seeing and smelling this kind of orchid.

How exciting for you!
Did you notice the coconut fragrance?

I did! At first I didn't like it very much, the scent smelled unpleasantly of coconut.
As the day went on it took on a creamy sweetness, and I'm very much in love with the scent now.

Indeed!
I like the scent best at the height of the day when it's sweetest.
Not so much at night or morning.
It loses that sweet note...

I'm totally jealous! I've got a huge specimen in a 10" teak basket - that has never bloomed for me. What's the secret?!

I too am jealous, having had a good sized plant for nearly a year without blooming. I recently moved it to a higher light spot. Hopefully that does the trick. It sounds like you were surprised by the flower and new buds, so it sounds like the flowering goes pretty fast.
