Default Surprise! Maxillaria ochroleuca

I got a nice surprise today - my Maxillaria ochroleuca is starting to bloom I was expecting it to do so around springtime, so imagine my delight seeing four little cream heads coming out to say 'hello' A bonus is that the flowers (when open) smell like coconut.

I doubt whether they'll be any more on this p/bulb, but, over the last couple of years it's developed loads of leads. So, I'm hoping that in another couple, it'll be able to put on quite a display.

I'll try and keep you all posted as the flowers open

Hey, looks like I been firmly proved wrong - last count 9 flowers! Once they're showing a bit more, I'll take a progress pic

It's been a bit gloomy here lately so I've had to take these without flash (since with flash, they looked horrid!). As a result, the pics are a little bit blurry. If I can get any better ones before the flowers fade I will, but, if not, I hope you enjoy and can get the idea
