I like Telipogons. So far, my favorite species is T. lehmannii, but this one's nice, too.

How do you grow these? I hear they're very sensitive plants.

HI... yes they are very difficult plants ... I have some problems with the water : I saw some leaves like an accordion and I put more water and suddendly the leaves fall and the plant died... so I lost 5 or 8 plants.... and I was very unhappy....
I asked a friend, and he told me some interesting tips:
The plant lives in natur with the roots in the air... like a VANDA. Tellipogons like a humid environment and lots of air...
Tellipogons live in cloud forest, in high altitude and without sun, they like more the cold than the hot weather....
So I changed the sustrat of my Tellipogons POT ( the old has a lot o spaghnum) with only CHOPPED COCONUT and I put my plants on a wire net on the top of a plate with water ( the plants never touch the water) so I have more humidity localiced for my Tellipogons....
So I grow my plants and I think they´re happy ....
I think this tips can help you...
Enjoy Tellipogons they are lovelly!!!

Thank you for all the info. I guess they wouldn't do too well here because the temperatures get very high in the summer. They might do well during the cool winters, though, but I wouldn't have them for very long.
