Andy’s Orchids. Always nice, well packed, reasonable, and quick. Tons of Maxillaria species… worth looking at for ideas.

Camille, I know your plant space situation and you definitely don't need the rodrigueziana!

That is huge lol. Mine seems smaller... You got a different variety than mine so that may be one factor - good you didnt get the "Giant" variety! |

hmm I just measured mine and they are 9" long. Sorry that yours is so big! I didn't mean to misguide you (I dont recall saying that it was small...) but I think it'll be worth it!  |

I don't feel misguided at all... other than being tempted to buy yet another orchid. You weren't the one who said smaller... Camille remarked it looked compact, and I'd thought the same thing from your pictures.
Ahem... I'm just whining. I'm the one who had the 3' tall Cymb in a trashcan that I had to lug up from the basement each spring.

Okay Jeff… question. How often do you water it? The suggestion from Andy’s is daily. I’m doing the RJSquirrel technique, but I’m sure watering daily is more than that method. Your growing techniques please?

I have a terracotta saucer underneath and water every 2 -3 days. Whenever I notice the saucer getting dry, I just pour water liberally until the saucer's full. I never let the spag dry out. It's an overwaterer's dream!! walkerianas hate me but this, no! |

Imma just have to be vigilant for awhile is how it sounds to me. What’s average humidity for you please? Sorry for many questions… just trying to get a feel.
