New to the Orchid Board - trying this out - Orchid Board

Hi,
I am an orchidophile in Texas, USA. My husband built me a green house as a gift several years ago and it fueled my "habit". Recently, I took a friend to the 19th WOC in Miami, FL and had a brilliant time. Promised my spousal unit I would take it easy and ended up schlepping home 6 new plants!!

I love learning about them and experimenting with them. I am a member of the AOS and the OCA. I had been active with my local society, going as far as to lead them (scary, that one

). Because I am in the finishing throes of a Ph.D., I have limited my extracurricular activities, but I can't give up the collection!! So glad to find this and looking forward to getting to know some of you and learning and sharing what little I know!
