Hello! Orchid newbie from Holland!
Hi! I'm new here. Generally a lurker, but I'm posting now.
I'm from Holland, and I've neer been able to keep a phal alive. Until now!
I kind of gave up on these "difficult" plants, until my husband asked me to try again, since he loves them too. I started searching for information online, and found a youtube that was super helpful, I don't know if I'm allowed to post it here, but it changed everything for me.
Now, there's actually flower spikes starting on my phals! I hope I can get some blooms! But I think I'm on the right track Will post pics as soon as it's possible.

Hello! Phals are a great beginner orchid to learn on.Read as much as you can about culture(temps, potting medium, light, waterings, etc) and keep it simple. Once all that makes sense and your head will not explode from too much info.,check out the forums here and post questions. It's a great site and you'll receive excellent feedback. Good Luck!

Welcome to Orchid Board. In the beginner discussion section there is a sticky thread called The Phal Abuse Ends Here: The Phal abuse ends here. It has grown to a very long thread but there is a lot of very useful information on what and what not to do to have success with your Phal. Good luck with the blooms.
