Hi Y'all,
Have a green thumb with outdoor plants, but no luck with indoor ones. Even killed a cactus. Arggg!!!
A few months ago, Hubby had an operation and his business sent him this beautiful live planter of two mature phals in full bloom. They livened up the room so much. I called the florist who sent them to find out how to take care of them. "Put five ice cubes in once a week."
Dutifully did that till the leaves started yellowing and falling off. Researched some more, learning the right way to water the guys and decided to repot them. The first orchid, all roots were rotten, was so dead it forgot to drop its flowers off. The second one, had sent out air roots so repotted it. A week later, the whole leaf top fell off. Sigh...
Bless Hubbys heart, he went out and got me a NoID orchid. It's in a two inch pot, but the small white blooms are so beautiful!
So here I am. Have no greenhouse, but the back of the house faces north and my little noid is flourishing, still sending out new buds.
I'm so envisioning having more orchids in the house to cheer it up and looking forward to watching them grow.
Thanks everybody for being here...
