Cool newbie

I am new to the orchid growing. I have a few Phalaenopsis (?) having being gifts from our local Home Depot and Lowe's (Maine). I think they call them "Ice Cube Orchids", meaning to give them three ice cubes for water once a week. Anyway, I have one of them that has produced a leafy thing in the middle of a stem that has recently bloomed and gone by. Not sure if I should leave it alone or cut it and plant it nor how to go about it. I would stick a photo in but I'm not good with computer stuff, so I have to leave out. Would love all kinds of tips and info!
Thanks for this site!

Hello Debbie and welcome to the forum. The people here are very nice and helpful. Just take time and read over allot of the sticky's like the Phal abuse ends here. It's very long and you don't need to read the whole thing but do read the first few pages.

One thing I will tell you right now is never water them with ice cubes, we're talking tropical plants here. Let them almost dry out before you water them again. Also after you post 5 times then you can post pictures. I'm not so very good with the computer either so if I can learn I think you can.

Some where there is a sticky on posting pictures also. Some one else will probably put the link up on here for you as, well I don't know how to do that heheheheh.

Have fun you will learn allot here.
