Another addicted Mainer here!

Hello to everyone.
I've always had a house full of houseplants but the orchid bug bit me 3 years ago, and after joining the Maine Orchid Society I quickly became addicted with now having over 200 orchids! Hubby built me a shade house so most grow outside in the summer, but then comes the problem of where to put them all inside during the cold weather--and the watering becomes pretty tough too. Sure keeps me out of trouble though!

I've read your forum tons of times and finally decided I should join(this is my first forum).

You know what I need?--a greenhouse!!!

Welcome! I also have quite a few plants and each autumn, I begin fretting over how they will all fit! And, yes, watering indoors isn't fun. Glad you have joined us!

I can see that finding space for over 200 orchids inside could be challenging!

It sure is that. It is starting to get into the 40's at night and I'm noticing how much larger they've grown. Uh oh!

Welcome to Orchid Board!! I know how orchids can quickly become an obsession!!! How about turning a closet into a growing space, it has worked well for me!

It's always my problem as well, but not on the scale of 200!

I have about 30 of my 90ish outside for the summer. I can leave about 15 out (cool loving) but the other half need to come in and just those few are difficult to find spots for amongst the other 60ish which always live inside, most surfaces are already full... but 200 to find spaces for... that might be a problem!
