Hello - complete newbie here!
Hello!
I recently 'rescued' a phal. orchid from my mum and dad's house and then received 3 more from freecycle. All of them are in a bad way (definitely no flowering for a while!) but been browsing these forums for a few weeks picking up tips! Thought I'd now join. Gonna post some pics up on the beginners' forum to get your ideas.
I'm really enjoying my new hobby and have already spent a bit of money getting new potting mix, fertilisers, funky clips for when they do flower...

Welcome to OB, from a former newbie. You can learn a great deal here. I've had great luck with phals, and I've been the recipient of a number from friends who bought them in flower and then didn't know what to do with them once they were done blooming.
Orchids are a great hobby.

Maybemay,
Glad you are here. Sometime when you are ready, treat yourself to an orchid plant that is in prime condition from a reputable grower....although, that can lead to the orchid bug biting that much harder!
Good growing to you ,
