Default Hi there From Texas

Accidental orchid lover here

Few years ago I buy one of them 7.98 orchids in a little mesh plastic bags to see if I could get it to grow. I'm thinking if its growing, sitting on the shelf at Lowe's, in a plastic bag no less, I think I can do this

Well that little orchid has bloomed twice for me and I think it just had a baby!!!

I think I got mister big pants on me and bought some orchids that aren't so care free and easy going. Didn't come in a plastic mesh bag and cost more than 7.98. So here I am going to learn more about some of these neat little plants.

So hello and glad to meet ya

orchids can get virus's ,fungees, MOLD, wrinkly Bulbs (oooooooo)..root rot, gnats...I had no idea orchids were that versatile a habitat and a great spot for Squirrels to hang out, even if that sounds just nutz...See what I learned already today..

hehe - yes, seems there are nearly as many potential problems as there are orchids ...
They like to keep us on our toes I guess
