YO! Another Californian! +
Glad you posted California rather than CA. CA can mean Canada!!! Lots of Canadians here abouts and need I say Floridians!!!
Now that you have said HI how about more info on what you are growing and your favorites and images if you have 'em!

Representing NY here. Welcome to the Orchid Board 4page. Glad you found us. With so many members here, Im sure you have lots of stuff in common with others.
Ever buy from Andy's Orchids?
Anyways, have you got any orchids yet? How long have you been growing them?

Hey there from another Californian,
No kidding Tman, I do see that we're slowly building our ranks here on the West Coast. But everybody, regardless of where they are from, is really nice, helpful, and knowledgeable.
So Cheers and Welcome!

Thank you all for quick responses. I have phala, dendrobium, cymbidium, rhynchostylis. I killed many plants two years ago though I bought almost all the books about orchid. Sometimes I was confused about different information. I gradually learn how not to kill them, and keep buying more to practice. I love orchid, and spent a lot of time with them. My great success is not to kill them all. I often killed them when I repotted them. There is big difference in temp in my area and very dry so it is hard to choose what orchid to survive. My garden face south, so it is too hot in summer, but is too cold for the warm to intermediate in the winter. This weekend could be 70-80 in the day time and below 45 at night. So I just choose the dendrobium speciosum lately.

Yes I bought orchids from Andy. His plants are good. I plan to visit his nursery to know the condition of his nursery and therefore to see how the plant will adapt to my condition. He has all kinds of orchid, and I buy his orchid at the fair.
