Default Forum posting help, please

Hi everyone,
I know I'm posting wrong somehow, so I apologize for my mistakes (posting-ignorance). I have only gotten one e-mail notification that someone has replied to my "new member intro message" (which I replied to...then logged in to view msgs, as well), although I see that more than the one person has replied to it but I have not received notifications concerning them. I thought I understood that when I logged back into OB, I would receive more notifications if I had more replys to my initial info msg...but I have not received any more. Did I misunderstand, and if so, will you please help me know what the correct way to post is? I really would appreciate your help.
Vicki

It doesn't look like you are doing anything wrong. Are you sure more than one person has replied or could it be that more than one person has viewed your post? You will receive an email ( by default, which you can change) when someone repliess to your thread with a link to take you right to it. I think u are doing fine. Be patient with yourself like you are with your orchids

Check to see if you are enabled to receive email notifications by -
1- Go to the top of this thread and find click on the 'Quick Links' icon ( Task bar at the very top of the page)
2 - In that drop down menu, find and click on 'Edit Options'
3 - In 'Edit Options' screen - scroll to the middle of the page and find the 'Messaging and Notification' Section
4 - Check off the 2 boxes in the 'Receive Email' Section
5 - Make sure your option in the 'Default Thread Subscription Mode' Section is set at Instant Email Notification

Let me know if this helps and/or if you need more assistance

Hi Dorothy!
Thank you so much for responding to my cry for help! Shortly after I posted my "posting help" request, I rec'd an e-mail notification that another member had replied to it...then tonight I rec'd the two notifications of your reply, so apparently that part is working fine now. I still think that somehow the problem is simply me and my lack of "forum posting knowledge". Even though I have been getting the e-mail notifications lately, I went through your check list anyway...and everything seems to be in the order that you say it should be in. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I'll get more "posting savvy" as time goes on, please. Thank you again!
Vicki
