Hello Orchid Board! My name is Demi, and I am a 28 year old amateur orchid enthusiast. It all started when I walked by a beautiful huge phal hybrid in bloom at my local nursery. I had always thought the care needed for an orchid was beyond my capabilities. I went back and brought that baby home, and I got hit by the orchid bug. I now have a variety of many orchids, and this fall I achieved my first orchid blooms on my C.walkeriana Estrella da colina, followed by my Soph.coccinea, and now my C.walkeriana semi alba has a spike! I am still learning, but I am proud of how much I have already learned! I grow all of my orchids indoors under grow lights, and I have yet to get into the rhythm of fertilizing. I'm excited to share my love of orchids with everyone on here!
