Hello from Wisconsin (zone 5a, but can be zone 3 if you don't know how to dress for the weather ). I've been trying to grow orchids for quite a few years, but am recently trying to get more serious about long term success. I think hanging out here is going to help that a lot.

I have room to care for a couple dozen plants, and was doing so until I recently excised all the virused orchids from my collection (about half of them).

I like to keep mini cattleyas and a few others. I keep most of them outside on an east-facing deck in the warmer months, and under lights in an east-facing window in the winter.
