Hello everyone. I've been collecting orchids for about 30 years and have had reef aquariums even longer. I decided to try to convert an aquarium to a terrarium with an emphasis on orchids but will add other plats as well. I haven't started yet. I'm still in the research phase to gather as much info as possible before I begin. I think I'd like to start with a basic old school 55 gallon aquarium and learn with that. I'm glad I found this site. it seems very informative! Thanks and hello. Jim
Hey BBQman! Welcome to the board and good luck with your terrarium endeavors. Only rule here is that you must provide all members with some good ole FL BBQ.
LOL...not a problem.
I was in the bbq biz for years and have been running a smoker since I was a little kid. I cook every weekend and hang in the pool with a cigar and some whiskey. Swing by for some grub anytime....your location says Central Fl. I used to live all over central Fl
Hey Jim, When is that BBQ? ;-)
Hello from your neighbor in North Port.
BTW, I, for different reasons, have just started a terrarium. It was out of necessity to keep mini orchids hydrated while I was on vacation for a week, and not having someone to care for their daily watering. All did really well for a quick set up in a reptile 'tank'. Now, I'm going to fine tune it.

LOL...my smoker runs just about every weekend.
Once I'm up and running I want to get into mini's. They are pretty cool. I've had a couple over the years when I had a green house. Once we moved and I didn't have a green house we lost them.
