Can't clearly see the pseudobulbs, but wonder if it could be a Liparis (leave it to other to guess the species if it is)

Good job, Roberta! I was thinking the same.
Liparis lacerata, perhaps?

Ray may have found the species. The fringed lip is a distinguishing characteristic... most of the Liparis photos don't show that, lacerata does. It's a fairly large genus, with flowers small enough that it's hard to find good photos (yours, by the way, are excellent!) to help with ID.

No idea... I have only one Liparis (L. parviflora) and I have not noted fragrance (it's not in bloom at the moment) but other species may have it.

There are many, many Dendrobiums with this growth habit I think you will need to wait for flowers to have any chance of an ID.
It does make me very sad when orchids are taken from the wild, even if they stay in their native countries, we need them to thrive in nature or soon we will have none

Your Liparis doesn't seem to be fragrant.
IOSPE
Orchidwiz doesn't mention anything about fragrance either.
