This little orchid is one of my mom's she has it growing in a citrus tree but has no idea what it is. Here's the first bloom we've seen

You can barely see the light pink in the middle in these pictures

It is beautiful! I bet somebody here knows what it is. I'm guessing it's a Dendrobium from the look of the pseudobulbs and flowers.

I've never seen it... but how about Dendrobium aberrans? It looks a lot like the photo on Andy's Orchids' Web site.

Looks like a white flowered form of Dimerandra, more often seen in pink/lavender. You should get a succession of flowers from the spike, each lasting just a few days. Several species are recognized but they are so similar I wouldn't even guess which this might be. Yes, the canes of Dimerandra do strongly resemble some Dendrobiums, but it is an Epidendrum relative.

At first I thought it was too but she also told me earlier today that it's South American?
I'm not 100% sure but I don't think Dendrobium are native to the Americas though I could be wrong.

Dendrobiums do not occur in the Americas. Dimerandra occurs from Mexico to Brazil.

The way to tell between a Laeliinae and Dendrobiinae is, from what I understand, most Dendrobiinae have spurs on their flowers.
