What is this orange-ish oncidium and what will it smell like?
Hey everyone. I know for a fact this is not colmanara catatante, which is what I normally see in the store. Personally, I think those look like a hideous orange shag rug.
I know I have seen a name for this orchid somewhere but I don't know what it is.
Help meeee!
If this doesn't smell amazing tomorrow when the sun shines, I am gonna sell it at the OS meeting next week, haha.
If you know this orchid, what does it smell like?

Not all oncidiums have a fragrance, however... I happened to see this one at TJs when I went to grab cheese and gave it a whiff tonight. Typical floral smell for the alliance. Very light in fragrance. Not a room filling smell like Sharry Baby.

This one has a notable fragrance now in the evening and so I know tomorrow it is going to have a pretty strong smell.
I am just going nuts because I know know know I saw it somewhere online with an ID a recently and I need to know what it is, haha

That's a nice one! I would definitely keep it, even if it doesn't have any fragrance. Sorry, can't help with possible ID...

I found the ID!
Oncidioda Chaculatum 'Golden Pacific'
Thanks to MissOrchidGirl on youtube.
That said, this plant has the smell of some weird sweet bread or something. It is sweet and unpleasant, so I'm going to take it along with my den nobile that smells like mothballs and sell them at the OS meeting next week!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it isn't that one, and it's the oncidioda instead.
