everyone!

I picked this up after seeing it not once but TWICE at trader joe's! I go for a weekly "orchid hunt" to all the spots in town, and I saw this one week and passed on it, but the second week I saw it, I realized it was fragrant! I couldn't resist, especially not for only $9!!

The blooms lasted about 2.5 weeks for me.

They were fragrant and smelled like lemon candy almost.

It's so pretty and I can't wait for it to bloom again, but first can you tell me- what is this plant!

looks like a twinkle. I always felt the aroma was akin to 'old folk' face powder. Its a nice scent. You have to bury your nose in it to really smell them the flowers are so small..

mine bloomed but it has yet to excite me very much ya know ....

I won mine at an OS meeting. I win lots of plants but cant get but 3 dollars on a winning lotto ticket

Looks more like my Onc Rosy Sunset, which also is very fragrant!

Long and short of it is you will never know. It is and always shall be a NoID. Simply enjoy it for what it is.

It isn't Twinkle as the flowers are a different shape and are more loosely spaced on upright inflorescence.

I vote for Onc. Rosy Sunset with the caveat that once a NOID always a NOID. There are many oncidiums that look a like, so you can never be sure.

Definitely not Twinkle. Probably Oncidium Rosy Sunset. Not bad for 9 bucks!

Looks nothing like my Twinkle. As mentioned above mines blooms are much closer together and they arch over not stand up so much.

Rosy Sunset 'Pacific Satin' does not smell like lemon candy though, at least, not to me. It has an odor to it that reminds me of cat pee. I would bet this is some other cultivar of it though. The flowers are a dead ringer for it.

Mine smells very sweet, with a vanilla/chocolate fragrance very similar to Onc Sharry Baby.

Mine has a vanilla cupcake smell to it too, but it's layered with that musty scent that reminds me of cat pee. I've been told that this plant smells differently to different people. I'm not a fan of the smell, but I do love the flowers and growth habit on this one, the flowers look like a tiny spray of cherry blossoms. So, so pretty. They more than make up for the scent for me!
