To me it looks a heck of a lot like either the species or a primary hybrid of B.digbyana.
There's a lot of digbyana in there, at any rate.
Cheers,
Aus.

I agree it definitely is a hybrid that has digbyana in it (formerly Brassavola digbyana, now Rhyncholaelia digbyana). The form looks somewhat similar to Blc. Ports of Paradise, but you can never be sure once the tag is gone.
Grow it like other Cattleya alliance plants and it should grow well for you.

I really appreciate any help I can get with Ident.
Hello everyone,
I am a real newbie at growing Orchids. On Mothers Day 2014 my son gave me my first Phal no tag. I fell in love. I now have 5 Orchid plants, none of which had tags. Then yesterday my daughter brought me a sickly looking plant that she was told is an Orchid. I really need some help identifying these beautiful, and one lonely one (quarantine)
Now if I can figure out how to insert pictures.

You should make your own post in the identification forum so your post dosent get burried. I think they let you post pictures after a certain amount of posts.

It is a digbyana hybrid (plant does not look like pure species). It is not Port of Paradise, some other hybrid, possibly 2nd generation with a 2nd dose of digbyana.
