The flower looks similar to an orchid I recently purchased at Lowes: Blc. Jewel Box "Sheherazade"

It looks like some intergeneric cattleya alliance hybrid. It is small and red and this is a sure sign it is a Sophrontis hybrid. "Jewel Box" is the best known of these. Sophrontis are often cool growing, but the hybrids can tolerate warm to intermediate conditions well. This genus is probably instrumental in the creation of windowsill Cattleyas called "mini cats".

Without a tag there is no way to tell for sure, but I would agree that there is a strong Sophronitis (color) and rupiculuous Laelia (flower shape) influence in this cross. Both of those backgrounds like bright light!
