My grandpa passed away in December and I took over his orchid garden. Looking for help identifying this Cattleya. Thanks in advance.

I'm sure I've seen that or something similar in Mauro's photos before, but he's not around on the forum these days.

He still posts regularly on Flikr, it might be worth looking through his photo stream to see if you can spot something similar, then asking him to look at your pic and give an opinion on it. He knows a lot of South American Cattleya's and some others as well and will know what characteristics to compare to identify them.

This is his photo stream, a lot of Cattleya pictures all with names (as well as other orchids).

Looks like a hybrid to me, narrow petals (could be intermedia) and lip colouration (could be mossiae), but it does not look like C. Undine... this will be difficult to find out, if possible at all.

Lovely plant!
