Need ID help with this species
I bought this from the Blooms on Broadway Orchid Expo. I asked the vendor the name and he told me a species name. I assumed that the plant he sold me would have a tag so I didn't bother to write it down.
It finally bloomed and now I hope someone can help with the ID.

Something makes me think its from PNG. Does Dendrobium bracteosum get those colors?

I thought, too, that it looked PNGish. I believe it's Dend. sulawesii.

Den bracteosum does come in magenta, but I don't think this is Den bracteosum. Den bracteosum is a rather smallish plant with a neater and compact growth habit. Plus the flowers usually bloom in larger clusters than the one that Tindomul has, (don't get me wrong, I have seen a few Den bracteosum specimens with just 2-3 flowers per head).
Den sulawesii, Den crepidiferum, and Den glomeratum are synonyms.
Perhaps you can ask the vendor again?
The Dendrobium looks so familiar, but I really can't say what the species is, sorry.

Thanks all. My problem is refinding the vendor. He was selling Andy's Orchids orchids so I thought the vendor was Andy's Orchids. I called them and they told me they did not participate at the show. Someone else was selling their stuff and the orchid in question is not one of theirs.
I will try again. Thanks all for the great leads.
It is gorgeous and I really like it a lot.
