Identification of a Vanda Male
Question Identification of a Vanda

I rescued a Vanda from a lady in my city and it had never bloomed for her. It seems to be in okay shape. It is about 3 feet tall and has a spread of about 2 feet with a slight curve from not being hung. The root system is damaged from sitting in water and not being in a basket which I am slowly correcting. The tag of the orchid says "V-Kultana x V-Mem-Mad Pramerm" The cross of it could be way off as I can't read the tag due to it being chicken scratch. Can anyone supply me with a picture of what this orchid would look like in full bloom or maybe an idea of what the crosses real name could be? Thanks!

The second parent is probably Vanda Memoria Madame Pranerm, but I don't think there's a Vanda registered with just Kultana as a grex name, though it's part of many names and there is an Ascocenda Kultana. If you can narrow it down then Google image search is a good way to find pictures of the parents, other than that you'll just have to bloom it to find out. Hope this helps!

Thank you very much! It has helped. At least I can correct the tag for the time being. Until I get a bloom for the proper naming of it!

I looked in OW but there are 20 Vandas listed with Kultana as the first part of their name unfortunately.
