Aspacia Lunata or Miltonia Spectabilis? Male
Default Aspacia Lunata or Miltonia Spectabilis?

A few months ago now I bought these two orchids (along with 11 others) and rode them home on my motorbike.... needless to say, the bike bag was full of bark mix, orchids and tags, tipped topsy turvey by the time I got home. Nothing was spared.

I thought I had it all figured it out... but these two were not doing so well in pots or in the locations I had them, nor with the watering regime, so today I mounted them as they seem to want to climb anyway, and they look very comfortable on a branch. At least now they will safely get watered and misted every day with my other mounts. They won't flower unless they're happy though, which doesn't help my identification problem.

So... to the tags... maybe I still have had them mixed up. Here are two photos... which do you think is which?

Thanks
Gaz

Hard to be certain before blooming, of course, but I'd say the one on the log is the Aspasia lunata, and the one on the bark burl is the Miltonia spectabilis.

I agfee with Ray. And once one of them blooms, you'll definitely be able to match the correct tags to each plant.
