Nice one. I have a 'Shady Lady' but it isn't nearly that blue. I love anything blue.

Me too! I just ordered Phal Purple Martin 'KS' from big leaf orchids. . .it's supposed to be quite blue.

I have 'Shady Lady' and I agree it looks extremely similar.

Yea! We'll have twins! Mine's starting to grow a new leaf. They're pretty small, though I think the mature plant is lots smaller than a normal hybrid phal. The flower is only about an inch across.

Ooooh, coolio! I'll post pics of mine upon arrival. I might get it at the end of this week.

I really do prefer the smaller ones.

Are the flowers really more blue or are they more towards purple? I want blue. lolol

I just got mine a week ago so it hasn't bloomed yet. If I were to guess at the color I'd say probably a periwinkle blue with violet overtones. Time will tell! I need to post pics of mine too. Peter sent me a freebie that is also very nice. Do tell what he sends as your suprise when you get them.

Thanks very much Jerry & Ross. . .going with "Shady Lady"!

Terri: I would love to see pics of the one you recently received. OK, what else did you order from Peter? ROFLOLOL I KNOW you ordered more than one orchid.

I, only ordered two orchids. I think you have to order more to get the surprise? The other one is a peloric called "Phal. Minitris". The blooms should be spectacular.

I would happily accept periwinkle with violet overtones.

OOooh, how exciting! That's a really nice one!

I am having a real hard time being good. . .cause it's so much fun to be bad.

For instance, tonight I've ordered FIVE of those hanging glass balls that Dorthy found that I wanted. And one or two of the rectangular ones too. I am going to hang at least one of them in my Exo Terra tank with a little lepanthes in it.

Here's a link, in case you haven't seen the glass orbs.

And sure enough, Andy emails to say that yes, he has the Lepanthes I am llooking for, not online but in his greenhouse. So I had to get the Lepanthes calodictyon and then I had to get a traveling companion, the Pleurothallis palliolata.

For the record, I did not add, and I dearly wanted too, the gorgeous, malipoenes.

One must leave the table hungry. Mustn't one? lol

Oyo YOeee.
