I agree that the p-bulbs do not look right for a psychopsis. The roots also look way to large for one. I really does look like it is some kind of orchid though.

The suggestion of Oeceoclades maculata seems pretty close, at least as close as you can get without blooms to compare with.
At first I also thought Psychopsis, but like the others say, the bulbs are all wrong for it.

Yeah, I think Oeceoclades maculata makes a lot of sense.

I'll grow it with my others once its done with quarantine and see what it is! I was more hoping (a lot!) that it was a Psychopsis. I saw a ton of them this past weekend and almost bought one several times. I love thoseeee.

Its funny that I was looking for native orchids and ended up finding one growing in a pot. haha

Thank you so much for your feedback everyone!

The probability of being Oeceoclades maculata is very high. The plant arrived in Florida courtesy of hurricane Andrew and has seeded itself all over south Florida. It is native to africa.

The State of Florida considers it an invasive weed. Do not plant this in the ground outside as it will spread everywhere. It is self seeding and seeds grow easily.

The flowers are small (1/2") and mostly white. Not very impressive. It is a terrestrial plant and grows well in any soil.

Here is the flower

Interesting. Good to know! If I decide not to keep it I'll kill it I guess.

From your pics that looks like none other than Oeceoclades maculata. They are all over the place down here. I have a couple of them potted. I like em.
