Believe that 399 is a Calanthe (maybe a vestita hybrid?), and 387 was labeled Dendrobium, but I could not verify that name choice.

tks,

The first is an Antelope type Dendrobium similar to D. strebloceras but may be one of its hybrids, the second, as has been pointed out in a previous note, either Calanthe vestita or one of its hybrids - beyond that impossible to tell. Please read the sticky at the top of this thread (Why a Noid is a Noid) - then you'll see why it is so difficult to id these plants and why you shouldn't just attach a name to them because they look like something.

Thanks but I cannot find/see the "sticky" that you refer to.

OK understood. Was perhaps a bit loose in language. By "Labeled" I meant that the tag in the exhibit contained only the word "dendrobium".

Will be careful to pass along any uncertainties given here.
