Oncidium ID please?
Hi, could someone ID this Oncidium for me, please. Flowers are 1 1/2 inc. wide, with brown sort of stripes in centre.

How big is the orchid, how many spikes. It looks like many, many oncidiums. Sweet sugar, spacelatum, all look like this.

howdy
I believe you have something along the lines of Oncidium sphacelatum, a spring blooming oncid with lots of small yellow/brown flowers on a long and branched spike.
just my educated guess.
May all your orchids bloom like crazy

I agree with Polka, it looks like a variety of Oncidium sphacelatum.

I nearly agree, but am considering Oncid. Altissimum. Unfortunately I only have a small camera which does not focus intricately too well. Will endeavour tomorrow, to borrow a camera to give a better shot of the flower.

Oncidium ID please

Ok. I hope this isn't too blurry. The width measurement between lateral petals is 1 1/4 inch.(or 3 cms.) the measurement at top of lip is 1/4 inch. There are brown/maroon stripe-like colourings on all the petals.
I'm wondering could this Oncidium be an "Altissimum" or "Sphacelatum". I don't think there is any perfume. Any help, would be appreciated.

That latest shot is much clearer. I would rule out Sweet Sugar from that shot, as Sweet Sugar has a larger yellow skirt.
To my eye it could be either Altissimum or Sphacelatum, or possibly a hybrid of either of these two.
